About our school

Welcome to our school website! I hope you will get a sense of the range of wonderful activities and opportunities available to students at Kingsgrove Public School.

Kingsgrove Public School is a diverse and vibrant multicultural community offering community languages and cultural activities in Arabic, Chinese and Greek. As well we have a number of Aboriginal cultural and literacy programs to ensure our students with Aboriginal background have opportunities to develop and shine.

Our choir, band and boys’ and girls’ dance troupes perform with distinction at school events and music festivals. Our high quality school based sports program and PSSA interschool sports competitions have developed a number of high achieving student athletes competing at district, area, state and national level.

We have cutting edge facilities in our Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) centre where students learn computer coding, robotics, movie making and 3D printing. In classrooms students have access to iPads, laptops and desktop computers. Classrooms are air-conditioned to ensure learning spaces are comfortable and support learning.

Our school is located on two campuses – Years Kindergarten to 2 on Caroline Street and Years 3 to 6 on Kingsgrove Road. This means both sites have extensive playing fields and attractive gardens. In addition, students and parents have together created sustainable edible and sensory gardens on the school grounds. Before and after school care and vacation care is available on site.

Our  Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is supportive and welcoming, providing excellent resources and equipment for students.

I hope you will find our website informative and helpful. Enquiries are also welcome at the school office on 02 9150 9097.
