All students are welcome at Kingsgrove Public School. Kingsgrove’s learning support team coordinates programs and resources for students needing additional assistance with learning , physical, behaviour andsocial/emotional difficulties.
Students requiring additional assistance are provided with a Personalised Learning Support Plan developed in collaboration with parents. As well, specialist staff support targeted students.
English as an additional language and dialect (EALD)
Specialist staff assist students who speak languages other than English at home or are newly arrived in Australia.
Learning and Support Teachers (LaST)
Specialist staff support students who have learning difficulties to achieve stage outcomes.
Literacy and numeracy intervention
Specialist staff support K-2 students who are not achieving at grade level in literacy or numeracy with an intensive short-term program for targeted students. The focus is for Year 1 students, particularly in reading.
